Camping ground Großensee - Staying overnight in a unique nature close to one Hamburg's most beautiful swimming lakes. When a lovely and appealing nature is so close to metropolis, leisure has no limits.
You can visit the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg and you can relax at the Großensee - one of the most beautiful and cleanest natural swimming lakes of Hamburg. You can also do interesting excursions to Stormarn - a region with a lot of charm. Other close places are also lovely and worth visiting.

You can go hiking, cycling e.g. around the three lakes plateau (Großensee, Lütjensee, Mönchsteich) or in the Hahnheide the biggest nature protection area of Schleswig-Holstein. Or you can go horse riding, fishing or you can do a high ropes course, in Germany's biggest indoor-game park. If the weather is bad go into the indoor swimming pool Badlantic. Otherwise play volleyball at the lake. There are so many things our region has to offer. There are three good restaurants in the village of Großensee with an attractive variety of regional and international foods. Many other taverns, inns and restaurants are close by.
Of course, there is a lot to discover for children, teenagers and families.
