Tourists visit this camping ground Großensee/Hamburg since its foundation in the year 1949 because of its beautiful position at the Southern beach of the lake. Years ago this green oasis was a popular place of excursions at first for many people from Greater Hamburg. With increasing mobility more and more guests from all over Germany have then discovered the advantages of Großensee. Now after becoming a united Europe we may welcome an increasing number of international guests. At the open-air-bath you may hear many languages from many parts of Europe and from all over the world. Thus, our camping ground advocates international understanding, local recreation and a sensitive exposure to our environment.

1. Accomodation/ Catering
There is a little kiosk right on the camping ground. There, you can buy ice-cream, cigarettes and some food. A bakery is only 300 meters away at the village centre. You will find a lot of shopping possibilities in Trittau which is 3 kilometers away.

Three restaurants are close to the village centre. There are many
more restaurants in the region.

2. Opening times
The camping ground is open from April 1st until October 15th each year.
Registration from 8.00 am until 1.00 pm and from 3.00 pm until 10.00 pm
Leaving the camping ground with a car is not allowed during lunch break between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm
